Hosted Activities | Saturday, April 25

During President’s Club, you and your guest are invited to enjoy one TriNet-hosted activity per person on Saturday, April 25. Activity choices must be made prior to Friday, March 13, 2020. After Friday, March 13, 2020 you may not change your activity. We will reconfirm your selected activity at check-in on-site.  We regret that any cancellations or changes to an activity that has been confirmed will result in forfeiture of your hosted activity for that day.  

Cooking School

Put on your apron and chef hat, it’s time to cook! Take part in a hands-on cooking class and prepare typical Spanish fare in a fun group atmosphere. You will be engaged in the preparation of various dishes under the thoughtful guidance of chef instructors. At the end of class, sit down and enjoy the meal you created together while sipping a selection of national wines that will pair perfectly with the cooked meal.

Montserrat

Montserrat is a massive rock over 4000 feet / 1200 meters high, visible for miles and with odd shapes and rounded peaks that jut into the sky. There are paths, stairs, caves, chapels and hermitages scattered over the mountain, as well as extraordinary landscapes and wonderful views. The whole mountain is classified as a Natural Park. Montserrat is home to Santa Maria de Montserrat, a Benedictine abbey that was founded in the 10th century and still functions to this day with over 70 monks.

Panoramic and Old City Tour

Take the Panoramic City Tour of Barcelona to see the many highlights of this historic, vibrant and cosmopolitan city. Experience Montjuïc Hill, one of most beautiful areas of the city and a melting pot of local art, history, culture and sports. From there you can catch an absolutely stunning view of Barcelona and its port. As one of the best ways to appreciate Barcelona is on foot, you will discover the city’s charms by strolling through the old town, visiting the incredible Gothic Quarter, taking in Barcelona’s Cathedral and walking around Plaça Sant Jaume, Plaça Real and Las Ramblas. The El Born district may surprise you with its beautiful Gothic Santa Maria del Mar Cathedral and its charming shops.

Park Güell and Panoramic City Tour

Park Güell is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Barcelona, known for Gaudi's ceramic mosaics that decorate the winding bank and his beloved lizard.  See many historic highlights on the Panoramic City Tour including Gaudi's famous Sagrada Familia Cathedral, as well as a number of other modernist buildings including the Casa Batlló and the Casa Milà.  The tour will reach the Plaza Cataluña and the popular Ramblas area considered to be the heart of the city's Gothic Quarter.

Picasso Museum and Walking Tour

A Mediterranean coastal town, Sitges, is located in the Garraf area of the province of Barcelona.  Only a 45-minute ride from Barcelona, this seaside paradise is the pride of the Costa Dorada. Full of culture, and attuned to an ever-prospering artistic community, for over a century Sitges has captivated connoisseurs who scour the town for the next great artist. Stroll through the town’s charming streets and browse its shops and boutiques for original souvenirs.

Winery Tour - Alta Alella

Discover the Alta Alella vineyards near the sea in the Serralada de Marina natural park (Alella-Tiana). A short, half-hour ride from Barcelona, this family-owned winery is 100% organic and supplies some of the best restaurants in the world. Take in the unique setting and taste a selection of wines and cavas, all of which are carefully elaborated for optimal taste and eco-friendliness.

Winery Tour - Parés Baltà

Parés Baltà is a family owned winery whose origins go back to 1790. They produce high quality wines and cavas with grapes that come from 5 estates, located in different altitudes, from 170m to 750m above the sea. The variety of soils due to the different microclimates gives their wines different personalities.

A flock of family owned sheep gives natural fertilization to the soil and local bees help pollinate and to bring the essence of the Mediterranean ecosystem to their grapes.  Parés Baltà produces high quality wines showing fine character and concentration yet with elegance and balance.

World Famous Camp Nou

Experience Barcelona's local culture on your tour of popular landmarks. Your scenic ride drives you by the Sagrada Familia district, where Gaudi's sacred cathedral is located. You'll proceed to the Camp Nou Stadium, where the world-famous FC Barcelona football team is home to the Barca Museum, the most popular museum of any kind in Catalonia.  Your trip to the museum includes a tour of the Camp Nou stadium, the History Museum, the Art Gallery and the Collecció Futbolart - Pablo Ornaque (one of the best private collections of football memorabilia covering the history of football from its origins to present day.
 
After the tour, perched 170 meters above sea level at the top of Barcelona’s Montjuic Mountain, the Montjuic Castle offers stunning panoramic views. The original structure dates back to the 17th Century and over time it became a symbol of centralist repression against Catalonians. The building, which became a military prison at one point in its long history, now houses the city’s Military Museum.
