GENERAL INFO
1.    Who is Evolutionary Events?
Evolutionary Events is the vendor PowerSchool has partnered with to make NSM the premier conference of the year!  They are handling all logistics with the various vendors required to coordinate a conference of this magnitude.

2.    Will I have any free time at NSM?
Each day will be packed with programs and training.  As all events will benefit from entire group participation, all events are mandatory.  For a link to the agenda, click here.  In short, you will have little free time in light of the activities planned for day and night.  

3.    How will I know when I need to arrive at NSM?
Please arrive to the hotel by 4:00pm on Monday, January 23.

4.    How do I know which sessions I will be attending?
Most sessions and activities will be pre-planned for you and provided via a personalized agenda, which you will be able to access via the mobile app.  You will be able to select a few elective sessions during registration.  Mobile app details will be released closer to the start of the conference.  Please be advised: Attendance is required at all sessions.

5.    Can I bring a guest?
NSM meetings and events are strictly for colleagues only, including group meals and events.  Exceptions are not permitted, and guests are not allowed to attend the conference, conference-related activities or stay at the conference hotel during the dates of January 23 – 26, 2023.

6.    What attire is appropriate?
The dress code for the General and Training Sessions is business casual.  Please click here for our detailed Dress Code Summary and see below for a brief overview:

  • Gala Dinner – Business Dressy (Inside) 
  • Team Dinners - Business Casual

7.    Does the hotel have internet access?
Complimentary internet access is available in each guest room.  Guest room internet will extend to most common areas of the hotel. 

8.    Do I need a credit/debit card for my incidental charges at the hotel?
Yes.  As a standard hotel check-in procedure, the hotel will collect a credit/debit card from all guests to be authorized for $200 for your stay to guarantee incidental charges.  Upon check-out, you are responsible for settling your own account.  If you do not have a credit/debit card, please contact the NSM Event Team to discuss before traveling to NSM.

9.    Is there any help for nursing mothers?
Yes, all colleagues will be provided with regular break times throughout each day.  Nursing mothers can use these times to express milk in the privacy of their hotel room.  But that is not the only option.
 
Lactation Room:  We have secured a lactation room for our nursing mothers.  The room will be listed on agenda signs showing the daily conference schedule.  Colleagues who have an idea of the times they would like to use the room, may contact the NSM Event Team to book the room for any available time.

TRAVEL
10.    How do I book my travel to San Diego?
You will be flying to San Diego International Airport (SAN).  Please book your flights through the company provided Egencia account per normal PowerSchool travel and expense protocols.  Plan to arrive by 4:00pm on Monday, January 23.  When you have confirmed flights, please return to registration to input your flight information by December 16, 2022.  It is 100% required for all attendees that you use “NSM 2023” as the reason for travel in Egencia

11.    How do I get from the airport to the hotel?
Ground transportation details will be shared closer to event dates.

12.    How do I get back to the airport post event?
Ground transportation details will be shared closer to event dates.

EXPENSE REIMBURSEMENT
13.    What Can I expense at NSM 2023? 
Please refer to PowerSchool’s current Travel and Expense Policy for details on the requirements for submitting expenses incurred in relation to NSM 2023.

PTO AND EXTENDED STAYS
14.    What if I want to come in early and take DTO? 
All early arrival requests must be approved by your manager and the email approval needs to be provided to the NSM Event Team.

15.    What if I want to stay later and take DTO?
Work with your manager to get the time off approved and be sure to indicate in the notes section of the registration page that you would like to extend your hotel reservation at your own cost. 

16.    What if I want to extend my hotel stay in San Diego?
If you would like to extend your stay at the hotel before or after the group stay, the negotiated rate of $245.00 per room, per night plus applicable fees & tax will be available to you.  Rooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis, are not guaranteed and are at your own expense.

Please note:  If you wish to modify your extended stay, please notify the NSM Event Team at least 72 hours prior to your arrival date.  Any changes or cancellations to your hotel extension after this date will result in one full night's charge to the credit card provided during registration.
