Destination

Situated in the Greater Yellowstone Region of Southwest Montana, Big Sky Resort in the summer is a hub for exploration. With its endless views and wide-open skies, Big Sky offers unlimited access to outdoor recreation like wet and wild whitewater experiences, blue ribbon trout streams, backcountry hikes, meandering wildlife, and widespread wildflowers. If it's the quiet you're after, solitude can be found at the top of a peak, by a cold mountain spring, on one of the areas many hiking trails, or on a picnic in a wildflower-filled field.  Big Sky is a gateway community to Yellowstone National Park with geologic wonders and rugged nature at the West Entrance of the park is just an hour's drive away.  

Big Sky offers incredible mountain biking, hiking, rock climbing, rafting and fishing. In the summer, Big Sky Resort offers lift service to over 20 miles of mountain biking trails and there are at least a dozen other nearby trails that are great for biking and hiking. Gallatin Canyon is a popular destination for rock climbing with routes for all levels. And the nearby Gallatin River offers world-class trout fishing along with a wide variety of whitewater for rafting or kayaking.
