The city is the largest metropolitan area in the South and is primarily focused on banking, commerce, telecommunications, technology, energy, healthcare and medical research. Outside of the economical side of the city, Dallas is widely known for its sports teams including the Dallas Cowboys NFL team and the Texas Rangers MLB team.
